I just read this on io9:

News broke late last night that Andy Hallett, better known as Lorne in Joss Whedon’s Angel, passed away Sunday night from heart failure in LA’s Cedars-Sinai Hospital, following a five-year battle with heart disease.

Hallett, whose singing demon was one of the best things about the latter years of the Buffy spin-off, died with his father at his side, reports E! Online. The actor had a history of heart problems over the last few years, and had been hospitalized more than once during that period. A funeral service for friends and family is said to be being planned for this weekend.

Awww…That made me really sad.  Just like a month ago I was whizzing right through old Angel episodes and was realizing more and more that Lorne was one of my favorite characters.  I had been wondering why I had not seen Andy in anything else for the last couple years, this explains it.  Our thoughts are with Mr. Hallett’s friends and family.

Check out this classic musical number Hallett did as Lorne:

…Then you must be doing something wrong.  Apparently Vince “The Shamwow Guy” Shlomi was arrested last month for punching a prostitute in the face…multiple times.  Sasha Harris met up with him at a Miami night club, propositioned him, he paid her $1000 dollars, they began kissing, and she bit his tongue and wouldn’t let go!  Who can blame him for socking a bitch in the face.  What else was he supposed to do?  Besides the fact that he is VINCE THE SHAMWOW GUY!  What kind of self-respecting lady of the night (a pc term I enjoy) shuts him down?  We should make Sasha watch this and see if she sees the error in her ways.  And where on Earth was Billy Mays during all this?  He should have been watching his boy’s back.  Shame on you Billy. Shame.

When I first saw You Make My Day on Videogum all I could think is what the hell? Then I watched it again and I think it broke my brain, because it started making me…happy?

Then I saw the line that mentioned that this isn’t just a music video…it was a full length movie!  After watching it like five times more I decided that if this movie took over the world, surely world peace was to follow!  So we HAVE to make sure this movie does well at the theater, go 15 times if you have to.  Go until you can no longer pronounce vowels and your eyes have swollen shut.  Actually on second thought, maybe it is better to just watch the trailer, the full length movie couldn’t possibly compare to this brilliance.

From the innovative mind of Emmy-Award Winning, Horse Fetishist, Composer Michael J. Lewis here is You Make My Day:

Holy shit.  Even better than I remembered.  So good I think I am having a seizure.

Oh yeah, keep in mind a tipster confirmed this supposedly took 25 million dollars to make.

25 million dollars!!!

Interesting news from The Post-Gazette (The lady above is pleased about it):

No citations for giving the finger to police, judge says

U.S. District Judge David Cercone granted summary judgment to David Hackbart, who said in a federal suit that Sgt. Brian Elledge violated his constitutional rights by issuing him a citation in 2006.

“Elledge’s response to Hackbart’s exercise of his First Amendment right was to initiate a traffic stop and issue a citation for disorderly conduct,” the judge wrote. “Clearly, Elledge’s conduct was an adverse action in response to Hackbart flipping him off.”

Honestly, for the most part I think we should respect our law enforcement officials.  Maybe not all the laws, but the officials.  They are just doing their job, and protect us with their lives.  Buuuuuuuuut…I totally think this is a correct judgment.  Plus any cop who would get all butt-hurt over a case of the bird is the type of cop who deserves it.  Seems like a little abuse of power to give tickets because they are offended.  So the Asshole hurt your feeeeeeelings with his rude, insensitive hand gestures.  Get the hell over it.  You have a gun, a badge, the power to serve and protect and drive really fast pretty much any time you want to.  Turn around and walk it off.  If you are the type of cop to not take yourself or these people too seriously, that wasn’t for you.  You’re rad, keep protecting me please.

Any opinions on the subject?  Do you think they made the wrong decision?

At least, better than seasons 2 and 3.  Of course we should be celebrating considering the return of Bryan Fuller tonight.  Maybe he can fix this seemingly unfixable mess.

In the mean time, check out this charming short:  Nemesis

What do you guys think?  Is Fuller going to swoop in and save Heroes?  Is it possible?

I draw, I paint, I sculp. I create, I modify, I destroy. But something is born in all the cases.

These are the words of amazingly talented and twisted artist Mari Kasurienen.  You may or may not have seen her off-beat My Little Pony adaptations, if you haven’t though I highly suggest you check them out.  I would have killed for these when I was a kid.  Who am I kidding?  I would kill for them now.
