There is something entirely too hot about this.
Photographer Irish Willis Peele‘s thing was shooting punk band Frontline (and others) in Virginia, and his archive includes the above pic of students moshing at a Dead Kennedys show. According to Peele, the man in the center is none other than The Daily Show‘s Jon Stewart, who was a student at William & Mary at the time.

The guys from Beat Down Boogie are making a web series that seems to be a mashup Super Mario Bros. and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. For now, there are just some posters and sneak peek videos but it all seems very promising.

If you grew up in the 80s, chances are you saw your fair share of anti-drug messaging. There were PSAs and specials and episodes of established shows devoted to teaching kids to Just Say No. Some were effective, some were annoying, and some had Garfield, Winnie the Pooh, and Baby Kermit teaming up to explain the dangers of drug abuse to a teenager. I’ve seen many such shows and it’s easy to get cynical about their overly earnest and often fumbling attempts to keep kids away from drugs. But nothing I’ve seen before prepared me for the Bravestarr episode “The Price.”
